Back to school

It's finally here!! Most everyone else - grade school, elementary school, high school have all started their classes, but college is finally ready to begin. I am headed back to school on September 27th to begin my Masters degree. I intend to obtain a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies (MACS) from the University of WA, Bothell (my BSN alma mater). The first question everyone asks is, "What are you going to do with this degree?" I am sooo excited about what I want to do!! I'm shifting from nursing to a more health/wellness and education career. I want to work with kids and help with teaching them about gardening, farming, health and wellness. Our earth is dying and I want to be a part of something to change that by returning to our roots - literally. I'm hoping to work with the amazing group Seattle Tilth or with a CSA that focuses on educating kids about farming, gardening and our earth.
In two years, who knows where I'll be - I just hope it involves being outside more!!

  1. Good Luck with your classes! That sounds like a wonderful future job :) We love gardening and being outside, kids need more of that these days!
